Soda Fire 1

A monument to the weeks of research, discussions, questions, testing, safety briefings, coordinating, managing, and physical labor that went into making my first ▵6 reduction firing possible. I still have lots to learn about reduction firing and operating a gas kiln but this was an incredibly informative and exciting first attempt—the first of many I hope to lead and be a part of as I continue at UF and beyond. The individual pieces in the firing were made by myself and numerous other artists within the University of Florida College of Art and Art History.
